Developing Leadership and Fostering Talent Development

"Attracting new candidates and developing our workforce is key to sustaining our growth and innovation," says SEMI president, Ajit Manocha. Talent is a pinch point. In Silicon Valley alone, SEMI members have thousands of open positions, globally more than 10,000. To address this critical issue, SEMI has launched a Workforce Development initiative. SEMI Southeast Asia brings advocacy initiatives in focus to enable a growing, technologically adept and resilient engineering communities in the region. Talent shapes the E&E industry. Innovations in any industry is dependent on human ingenuity and more so, the sustenance of the industry hinges on influx of new graduating talents.

Career opportunities in semiconductor manufacturing are vast due to the depth and breadth of the industry. What does it take to build a career in microelectronics? Workforce presenters provide industry insights and tools for success, including resume building, importance of networking and crucial conversations. In addition, students will have an opportunity to meet with industry professionals for brief interview sessions.
