Mike has over 18 years global experience, specialising in commercial and technology strategy in digital services, mainly covering the media, telecoms and technology industries (TMT). Mike has focused on monetising opportunities across the revenue spectrum, from creating measurable multi-screen advertising opportunities, to defend against the threat from OTT providers and capture the opportunity from the Telecom and Media industries' pivot to digital and mobile 'only'.
Increasingly typical for TMT clients is the need to unlock internal value and reoriented their cost profile for an increasingly agile and digital age; to that end, Mike's recent focus has included releasing internal investment through cost removal across Media and Telecoms operators in the region and allowing those released investments to be ploughed back into the business.
Mike has spent the last 5 years throughout Asia working with multiple platforms, broadcasters, content producers and telecoms operators as they develop their sustainable digital presence. Prior to that he developed Vodafone’s content strategy; focusing on the commercial management of content acquisition for the group, worked with WPP globally to optimise IT and launched a 3-way mobile joint venture in the UK (called WEVE).
