Presentation Title

Driving Efficiency in Semiconductor Testing: Optimizing Automation Throughput with Simulation

Presentation Abstract

The semiconductor industry operates in a dynamic and highly competitive landscape, where optimizing test equipment throughput is critical for achieving efficiency and productivity. Automation has become a game-changer in semiconductor testing, but accurately predicting automation throughput can be complex. In this speech, we will explore how simulation can revolutionize the way we predict automation throughput for semiconductor test equipment.

Through simulation, we can create virtual models that closely mimic real-world semiconductor testing environments. We will discuss how simulation enables us to model complex interactions between equipment modules, processes, and resources, allowing us to accurately forecast the performance of test equipment.

This speech will showcase examples of how AEM have successfully used simulation to optimize their test equipment operations to achieve superior throughput. We will delve into the benefits of using simulation, including the ability to optimize resource utilization, reduce cycle times, and improve equipment utilization for maximum productivity.

Furthermore, we will discuss how simulation can aid in scenario analysis, allowing manufacturers to model different scenarios and assess the impact of changes in processes, equipment configurations, and product mix. We will also explore the role of simulation in data-driven decision-making, enabling manufacturers to continuously refine their automation strategies and adapt to changing market demands.
