Mr. Gary Leong has been a dedicated member of the ViTrox Corporation Berhad team in Malaysia for over a decade. His passion lies in elevating Malaysia's manufacturing sector to global competitiveness through embracing Industry 4.0 innovations. With rich career spanning 24 years, including a significant seven-year tenure in Shanghai, China, Gary has developed a broad skill set in international sales and marketing, product development, and team leadership. He currently leads the Analytics Intelligence Solutions business unit and oversees Corporate Marketing at ViTrox. Furthering his commitment to growth and learning, Gary is also pursuing DBA studies at Asia e University.

Drawing from my own adventures scaling sheer cliffs and navigating ascents, 'From Cliffs to Clouds: The Adventurous Climb of Digitalization and AI in Manufacturing' offers a unique perspective on the integration of technologies in the manufacturing world. This talk parallels the meticulous planning, unwavering determination, and innovative thinking required in rock climbing with the journey toward adopting digitalization and AI in manufacturing. Through personal anecdotes and industry experiences, I will share through the landscape of digitalization innovation, revealing how the importance of digitalization journey redefines efficiency, creativity and hiccups towards modern manufacturing, inspired by the climber's quest for the summit.
