What Changes When You Become a Leader: A Malaysian Perspective
Leadership is often misunderstood as authority, speed, or technical mastery. Yet many leaders discover that their greatest challenges emerge not from complexity of systems, but from complexity of people. This session explores the turning points that occur when technical excellence is no longer enough, and leadership demands emotional intelligence, steadiness, and moral courage. Drawing from a career spanning engineering, operations, research, and global transformation, Dr. Suha Subramaniam shares a grounded, practical leadership framework shaped by the Southeast Asian context. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of how leadership shifts from problem‑solving to people stewardship—and how to remain anchored when navigating uncertainty, resistance, and change.
