Ms. Esya SAMUDRA
Senior Engineer Integration & Yield, GlobalFoundries
As a Principal Operational Excellence Engineer at GlobalFoundries (GF) Singapore, Esya Samudra partners with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to strengthen execution standards and drive continuous improvement across semiconductor manufacturing operations. She brings close to five years of experience in quality systems, governance, and cross-functional programme execution.
Her achievements include leading fab-wide initiatives that contributed to record-breaking Dynamic Line Yield in GF and developing standardised training and qualification frameworks that accelerated engineers’ onboarding.
Beyond her role, Esya has cultivated a strong spirit of community at GF. She has led company-wide engagement initiatives, served leadership roles for employee welfare programmes, and supported efforts that foster belonging and collaboration across teams. Her contributions have been recognized through the CEO Global Operations Excellence Award (2024) and the Women’s Recognition Award (2025), reflecting both her operational impact and her influence as a role model.
Esya takes the same passion for community building to the industry, being an active member in industry outreach, mentoring, and community engagement programs. She has spoken at leading regional industry events to share insights on the semiconductor industry with students and early-career professionals, and she advocates for young women to explore enriching STEM careers. Her efforts reflect her belief that sustainable industry growth is built through both robust systems and empowered communities.
Esya holds a Bachelor of Engineering with Honors in Chemical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
