Job Title: Safety & Health Officer

Job Description/Content/Duties:

  • Ensure Alpha complies with Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), Factories and Machinery Act (FMA), Environmental Quality Act (EQA) and any other statutory regulation at all times.
  • Responsible to ensure that waste is disposed of in a manner that complies with legislation and actively drives waste reduction and recycling of waste where possible.
  • To lead and carry out health, safety, and environment (HSE) audit or inspection Responsible for closing all findings.
  • Responsible to assist in reducing the potential for hazardous environmental problems by researching analyzing data and reporting.
  • Work closely with the local statutory bodies (DOSH, DOE, BOMBA etc.)
  • Perform potential hazards identification via Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Risk Assessment (HIRARC) for each machine.
  • Prepare & involved for accident incident Investigation report & emergency response plan procedures for workplace and provide advice on necessary corrective/preventive actions to be taken and follow up with the related parties in order to close up the incident cases.
  • Arrange and conduct safety, environmental compliance training for Alpha workers and staff.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in any disciplines or 5 years and above experiences
  • Knowledge on DOE and DOSH requirements
  • Familiar with ISO 14001:2014
