Job Position Summary:

Install, trouble shoot, repair: facilities, equipment, tooling, complex pipes and plumbing that carry gas, water, air or hydraulic oils; complex electrical wiring and may program and or work on equipment controllers. Leads and trains others on specific maintenance skills.

Skills, Abilities and Mastery (Responsibility Matrix):

Delivery:
• Repair and installation of complex pipes and plumbing that carry gas, water, air or misc. hydraulic oils.
• Repair and installation of complex electrical wiring in facility for high & low voltage (includes
computer & phone lines)
• Electrical troubleshooting, repair and installation of complex motor controls, fuses and circuit breakers, etc.
• May program and or work on equipment controllers
• Trouble shoot, repair and install complex and highly automated machinery using air, hydraulics,
motors, bearings, etc
• Fabricate complex production equipment, fixtures, support frames, benches, shelving, etc.
• Schedule and perform preventative maintenance, write procedures, train others in limited maintenance.
• Repair and improve facility buildings and grounds.

• VSL to develop the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)

Education, Experience and Certification Requirements:

• High-school graduate/GED preferred
• Preferred Two-year degree or Technical Certificate or related experience (3-5 years)
• Leadership training
