Position Title: A4 Chargeman

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible to perform all maintenance activities relating to LV Switchgear, Electrical
Instrumentation and Mechanical building equipment.
• Daily to inspect and monitor electrical reading and record in the log book to ensure the LV room is
clean, functionality and in good condition.
• Responsible for the efficient operations and functions of all electrical and mechanical installations
and equipment such as Electrical power supply and distribution system, lighting system, Fire
Protection System, air-condition system and building maintenance.
• Carry out scheduled inspections and testing of standby Generators, Fire Pumps, etc.
• Ensure all wiring systems and installation comply with IEE and Suruhanjaya Tenaga Standard.
• Attend to all power and machine failure/short/trip and rectify accordingly.
• Perform/Supervise troubleshooting and modifications of electrical equipment breakdown and
implement a preventive and predictive maintenance schedule.
• Routine checks on electrical devices and machines to ensure functionality and reliability.
• Lead and manage a team of Technicians to provide effective and reliable support services for all
plant machinery, equipment, and facilities.
• Supervise and resolves work problem or assists technician in solving work problem.
• Liaise with TNB, DOSH, Majlis and other regulatory bodies on utility services and compliance
issues.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by Engineer or HOD from time to time.

Competency

• Certificate of Chargeman with competent certification of 4A issued by Energy Commission
Malaysia.
• At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Knowledge and familiar in Electricity Supply Act, Electricity Regulations is a must.
• Familiar with Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) regulations and safety health
& environment (SHE) procedures.
• Preferably experience in Maintenance/Repair (Facilities & Machinery) or equivalent.
