Job Position Summary:

This position is responsible for facility related activities in getting the facility ready for production which includes working with contractors during the quote and execution phase, working with third party approvals and regulatory agencies, and coordinating the work with the contractors (civil and construction, mechanical and electrical, architects etc.) during the execution phase. This position will also be responsible for ongoing facility maintenance including staying compliant with the local laws and regulations, licenses (as it relates to the facility), facility upgrades and expansions.

Skills, Abilities and Mastery (Responsibility Matrix):

Delivery:
• Plans and reviews facility maintenance, repair, and improvement projects
• Coordinates and executes plant maintenance activities to ensure compliance to schedule,
procedures and statutory requirements
• Contracts and oversees work done by external facility support vendors.
• Provides security for business unit facilities and their contents.
• Supports facility safety practices and processes and report safety performance to required regulatory agencies.
• Monitors energy usage and put measures in place to reduce usage where possible
• Manages electrical and mechanical systems throughout the facility
• Responsible for the plant facilities systems with minimum unplanned down time
• Coordinates and provides support to production / manufacturing needs
• Experience in managing facilities systems, such as electrical systems including installation and
commissioning, process chilled water systems, Air compressor systems, HVAC units, fire safety
system, domestic water systems, dust collector, building maintenance and etc.

Business Partner: 
• Facilities Maintenance Team member
• Director of Operations and other operational leaders regarding facility plans
• Coordination with local agencies such as Fire Department​​​​​​​

Center of Expertise (COE)
• Industry Certifications/licenses (Electrical, Hydraulics, Mechanical. Etc.)
• Engages with relevant authorities for the related job requirements – TNB, BOMBA, DOE, DOSH, and Energy Commission.
• Develops & maintains facility SOP & compliance to ISO requirements.
• Technical knowledge in Testing and Commissioning, engineering design principles, mechanical &
electrical system operational philosophy

Education, Experience and Certification Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience (5-8 years)
• Technical certification preferred
• Project management experience
• Leadership training
