Job Position Summary:

Develops sourcing strategies and category plans to support the business to include supply market and industry analysis, category and supplier segmentation, sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and
implementation. Ongoing supplier integration/ supplier relationship management for key suppliers
within their respective category areas. Delivers against category and supplier segmentation strategies, supplier qualification and transition activities, ongoing supply base design management with a focus on supplier consolidation, and the incorporation of best in class processes and standards. Scope includes ongoing risk mitigation and management planning, problem solving and issue resolution, process enhancement recommendations, and adherence to policies, procedures and systems.

Delivery:
• Develop, apply, and leverage supply chain strategies, processes, and best practices across the
company to enable achievement of enterprise targets
• Develops sourcing strategies and spending category plans to support the business and include supply market and industry analysis, category and supplier segmentation, sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and implementation.
• Establish processes to effectively communicate changes in supply and demand to the supply base to enable prioritization and alignment across value streams, sites, business units, and functions to fulfill customer needs.
• Provides risk mitigation and management planning, problem solving and issue resolution, process
enhancement recommendations, and adherence to policies, procedures and systems.
• Manages the transfer of products from lean product development to production
• Prepare and distribute Request for Inventory / Request for Quote (RFI/RFQ) packages for prospective suppliers. Compile and summarize responses and assist in due diligence and supplier selection work for bid projects.
• Facilitates, coaches, and mentors supply chain rapid improvement events

Business Partner: 
• Develops strong relationships and provides effective communication, prioritization, and alignment
across value streams, sites, business units, and functions
• Demonstrates capability for engaging with external business partners to provide seamless linkage of supply chain processes
• Communicates strategy, business goals, and results to team members and business leadership
• Establish and maintain effective partnerships with customers, suppliers, and channel partners to
maximize alignment and collaborative extended supply chain effectiveness
• Ensure performance of the supply base through effective linkage, involvement, evaluation, and
performance management of suppliers
• Ongoing supplier integration/ supplier relationship management for key suppliers within their
respective category areas.

Center of Expertise (COE)
• Demonstrates capabilities in material management, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), pull
systems, flow, and the implementation of lean concepts
• High attention to detail, follow up and attention to customer service.
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Relevant certification in APICS (CPIM, CSCP, CFPIM), ISM (CPM, CPSM, CSM), or equivalent
• Silver Lean Certified
• Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
• Excellent negotiation and problem solving skills. Possess exceptional conflict resolution skills and is
adept at dealing with situations involving conflict.
• Demonstrates effective project management capabilities

Education, Experience and Certification Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or enrolled in a continuing education program
• Technical certification preferred
• Project management experience
• Leadership training
• 7-10 years of lean leadership experience preferred
