Mr. Riduan RAHMAN
Director of Transportation Technology Division, Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA)
Riduan Rahman serves as the Director of the Transport Technology Division. His responsibilities include overall planning, implementation and coordination of investment promotion strategies to attract investments in transportation technology, including electric vehicles, energy-efficient vehicles, aerospace and rail.
Riduan joined MIDA in 2003 and had served in various divisions such as the Strategic Planning & International Cooperation, Business & Other Services, Statistics, Healthcare, Education & Hospitality as well as the Foreign Investment Promotion with vast exposures in the international arena. He was the Director of MIDA Tokyo as well as the Regional Director covering Japan and South Korea from July 2018 until December 2022. During this period, he was appointed as alternate Council Director and an Executive Board member of the ASEAN Japan Centre. From 2007 – 2011, he was the Deputy Director in MIDA office based in Frankfurt, Germany.
Prior to joining MIDA, Riduan held positions in private companies such as Horwath, BSA Manufacturing, Airport Limo and RHB Bank. His professional experience spans across consultancy, manufacturing, logistics and finance. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy from the University of Portsmouth, United Kingdom.
