In an era defined by digital disruption and geopolitical uncertainty, building resilient, reliable and inclusive semiconductor ecosystems is not just a technological necessity — it’s a global imperative.

Handshake@SEMICON is a networking session hosted by the European Union in presence of H.E. Iwona Piórko, EU Ambassador to Singapore, the European Semiconductor Regions Alliance (ESRA) and several EU Member States (including but not limited to Italy, Finland, Lithuania, the Netherlands) and European regions. Bringing together policymakers, investors, innovators, and industry leaders from Europe and Asia, this invitation-only event is designed to foster strategic dialogue, spark collaborations, and catalyse investment into the future of semiconductor research, development, and manufacturing. The event is facilitated by the EU-funded Digital Partnerships in Action (DPA) project.

Guided by the theme “Bridging Continents, Building Future,” the event celebrates the existing notable business ties between the European and Southeast Asia semiconductor ecosystems and the investment-friendly framework set by the EU Chips Act as opportunities for expanded partnerships. It also highlights the EU–Singapore Digital Partnership and showcases the shared commitment to co-innovation, economic security, and sustainable digital transformation.
