Mr. Velladurai A/L BALAKRISHNAN

Mr. Velladurai, fondly known as Durai, is a Senior Manager in the Digital Talent and Entrepreneurship department at the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC). He holds a BSc (Hons) in Business Information Systems from the University of East London and a Master's degree in e-Commerce from Charles Sturt University, Australia. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Business Administration.
Prior to joining MDEC in 2009, he served at an educational institution in various academic and administrative positions, ranging from tutor to lecturer in the Faculty of IT, Principal Lecturer, Manager for e-learning, and Project Manager for International Programmes. In these roles, he serviced five national universities in Indonesia and two in China for almost a decade.
At MDEC, Mr. Durai has accumulated over 15 years of experience working in the Shared Services & Outsourcing (SSO), Investments, and Strategy & Policy departments before moving to Digital Talent and Entrepreneurship. He currently leads the Advocacy & Delivery unit, where he is responsible for advocating and ensuring the delivery of initiatives across digital talent for the digital economy.
