Executive Vice President, Global Operations, Sandisk
Don Angspatt is Executive Vice President of Global Operations at Sandisk. He is responsible for all global operations functions, including manufacturing operations, procurement and supply chain, and IT.
He is recognized for his strategic vision and for being a catalyst for change with an exceptional ability to transform businesses and drive growth. His business acumen and pragmatic mindset make him highly effective in driving complex initiatives. Don has led product and strategy organizations in enterprise software and enterprise infrastructure for over three decades.
Most recently, Don served as the Chief Strategy Officer and Chief of Staff to the CEO at Western Digital where he led corporate strategy, corporate development and investments, and new business incubation. He worked closely with the executive leadership team to drive the company’s overarching strategy and transformation agenda.
Previously, he was Senior Vice President of Cisco’s Business Operations and Strategy for the Networking and Security Business, a $30+ billion product portfolio that included networking, compute, cybersecurity, cloud, and IoT, where he advised senior executives, provided market insights, and partnered with product leaders to develop and execute their strategies, while leading cross-product group initiatives and shared engineering services. He has also held leadership roles in product management, product marketing, engineering, and business development at EMC Corporation, Symantec Corporation, and VERITAS Software Corporation.
Don serves on the UNIS-Sandisk Board of Directors and on the Northwestern University Leadership Circle San Francisco Bay Area Regional Board. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from Northwestern University, where he was an IRMCO Graduate Fellow, and he obtained a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.

Accelerating Sustainability in the Semiconductor Industry
Abstract
Sandisk's sustainability strategy is centered around a commitment to take bold and impactful action to reduce environmental impacts and promote sustainable practices across our value chain. As a broader industry, we have the responsibility to develop and drive environmental initiatives that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, water use, and waste. Collaboration across internal teams and with external partners, peers, and policymakers is crucial to realizing sustainability goals. In addition, efficiency is a key pillar to “doing more with less” – embracing circular economy principles by shifting from a linear “take-make-waste” model to a circular design model, implementing automation, and leveraging data to create insights.
