Presentation Title

How Next-Gen Sensing Technologies Redefine Smart MedTech

Presentation Abstract

Next-Gen sensing technologies are revolutionizing healthcare by enhancing therapeutics, diagnostics, and continuous monitoring.

IMEC, a world-leading R&D hub for semiconductor technologies headquartered in Belgium, operates the most advanced pilot line for semiconductor research, development, and prototyping. With a team of over 5,500 technical experts, imec is a strategic partner for renowned technology innovators, to bring chip&system innovations from lab to fab, enabling the creation of disruptive technologies.

This presentation will highlight IMEC’s breakthroughs in three technologies: hyperspectral imaging (HSI) for real-time surgical tissue analysis, speckle-based plethysmography (SPG) for contactless vital sign tracking, and large-area piezoelectric ultrasonic transducers (LAPMUT) for wearable in-body imaging. These solutions address unmet medical needs showcasing their potential to redefine MedTech boundaries and deliver scalable societal impact.
