Dr. Yongji FU

Vice President, R&D, B. Braun Medical Industries

Dr. Yongji Fu is the Vice President and Head of R&D at B. Braun Medical Group, where he leads innovation and product development for the infusion therapy and diabetes care portfolios. Before joining B. Braun, Dr. Fu held various technical leadership positions at Hillrom (Baxter), Becton Dickinson, Siemens, and Sharp. His expertise encompasses medical sensing technologies, machine learning and deep learning algorithms, physiological modeling, and wireless body area networks.

Dr. Fu also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Malaya. He holds over 30 pending and issued patents, has authored more than 20 scientific papers, and has been invited as a speaker and organizer at numerous international conferences in the medical technology domain. Dr. Fu earned his Ph.D. from the Biomedical Photonics Lab at Oregon Health and Science University in the United States and his M.S. and B.S. degrees in Biomedical Engineering from Tsinghua University in China.

Drawing connections to semiconductor and smart sensing advancements, the talk highlights how cross-industry convergence is creating new opportunities for agile development, predictive risk management, and accelerated product cycles in a post-COVID world.
