Vice President of the Healthcare Division, Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB)
John Eng is Vice President of the Healthcare Division at the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB). In his current role, he leads a team to engage with global companies and develop strategies to position Singapore as a hub for medical technology. Prior to this, he completed a secondment with the Biomedical Research Council at the Agency for Science Technology and Research (A*STAR). He has also led the Agri-Food division at EDB, and was previously based in EDB’s Chicago Office from 2015 to 2018 as Regional Director, Americas, facilitating investments in industries such as biomedical sciences, food & nutrition and professional services. John completed a Master's of Science in Bioengineering at the University of California, Berkeley and San Francisco and a Bachelor's of Science with Honours in Biological Sciences at Nanyang Technological University.
