Dr YT Chin is Senior Director, Operations at Western Digital. He is currently leading Western Digital SSD Operations at the Batu Kawan, Penang facility.
Chin is an accomplished executive with 27 years of manufacturing and research & development experience in the semiconductor industry. His passion of advancing manufacturing towards Industry Revolution 4.0 has contributed towards Western Digital being named Malaysia’s first Lighthouse by World Economic Forum. He has also published multiple papers in international forums and journals, holder of multiple US patents, defensive patents and trade secrets.
He is also a Chartered Engineer and Chartered Scientist with Institute of Materials, Mining and Minerals, UK.
