Presentation Title

Semiconductor Design & Development as a Catalyst for Environmental Sustainability

Presentation Abstract

The effects of climate change appear to be accelerating and are already being felt by many communities and countries around the world, including in Malaysia. The semiconductor industry, being one of the largest components of GDP for many nations in the region has a key responsibility in role modelling how business can derive economic benefits while also ensuring Environmental Sustainability. A range of factors needs to be considered starting from design and development of products and platforms, all the way to manufacturing and shipment. This includes implementing sensible Circular Economy strategies to minimize and recycle waste streams that are generated as part of the value creation activities of the industry. This presentation covers current best practices as well as opportunities for the future.
