The semiconductor industry operates under some of the most demanding quality expectations in modern manufacturing. With microscopic feature sizes, complex multi‑step processes, and extremely tight customer specifications, robust Quality Management Systems (QMS) are essential to ensure consistency, reliability, and compliance. Several core methodologies form the backbone of quality assurance in this sector—most notably Statistical Process Control (SPC), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), 8D problem solving, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA). Semiconductor manufacturers undergo rigorous internal and external audits, including ISO 9001, IATF 16949, customer audits, and supplier assessments. Consistent use and application of the QMS tools reduce risk, improves traceability and strengthens customer confidence. The workshop aims to equipment, process/equipment engineers, managers and technical staff with the knowledge of QMS tools to manage the production line, as well as to comply with auditors expectations of competency and mandated documentations.
